Volunteer

Driven by the needs of people living with diabetes, the mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. We work to accomplish this by finding and funding the best and most relevant research.  JDRF also partners with other organizations and health care providers to help families living with diabetes while researchers are progressing towards a cure.

Volunteer/Service Opportunities

The Palmetto Chapter of JDRF encompasses the larger portion of our state including all of the midlands, Pee Dee and parts of low country.  JDRF hosts signature events each year.  In addition, JDRF works with other companies and organizations on “Third Party Events” and networking/outreach programs.  Our events include:

  • Walk to Cure Diabetes (October) /Volunteer Walk (March)
  • Wings of Love Gala (March)
  • Tee up to Cure Diabetes Annual Golf Tournament (May/June)
  • Ride to Cure Diabetes
  • Young Leadership Committee (YLC)

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these events, or if you simply need to complete service hours for which there are in-house opportunities, please contact the JDRF Palmetto Chapter:
